Day One
Leaving Edinburgh we travel west taking in the historical backdrop of Stirling, scene of some of the most momentous events in Scottish history. We'll meander by the scenic Loch Lomond, the largest expanse of fresh water in Britain, before we explore the stunning region of Argyll, home to numerous attractions and hidden treasures. Then we'll board the local ferry to the charming Isle of Arran, often described as "Scotland in miniature" and what an ideal location to spend our first night
Day Two
Back to the mainland and we head north to the ancient fort of Dunadd and Kilmartin Glen with its mind-blowing collection of prehistoric monuments spanning more than 5000 years of human history. We stop at the bustling little port of Oban for lunch where we can sample some local seafood. Next we travel through magnificent Glencoe, renowned for its outstanding beauty before passing under the shadow of Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Then we will travel over the sea to the Isle of Skye where we will spend our second night
Day Three
We have a magical day travelling around the Isle of Skye, land of the faeries and many legends. Enjoy breathtaking sea and mountain scenery, some of the best on the planet! Take a beach walk, explore shops in the town of Portree or have a nip of whisky with the locals. Memories of Skye you will treasure forever
Day Four
Our first stop is a visit to the impressive Eilean Donan Castle. We then travel further north through the overwhelming scenery of the Torridon Mountain Range. Here we explore the untamed wilderness of Scotland with time to take in woodland walks and waterfalls. We continue to the Highland capital of Inverness for our overnight stay at the world famous Loch Ness
Day Five
Time for some monster spotting with a boat cruise on the loch before travelling south through the Great Glen to the quaint loch-side village of Fort Augustus. Next we head east across 'Monarch of the Glen' country into Perthshire for lunch. The last leg of our journey takes us through countryside steeped in romance to the Victorian town of Pitlochry. Finally we travel over the Forth Road Bridge and back to Edinburgh
