Sparrowhawk Backpackers
Sparrowhawk Backpackers, Moretonhampstead is located in Dartmoor National Park. This is a small, friendly 'green' hostel and accommodation is in a converted stone stable. There are dorm beds or a private/ double/ family room available. Nice kitchen, and a south facing courtyard (previously a farmyard), visitors are also welcome to use the bar-b-q!
Moretonhampstead is a great base for further exploration of Dartmoor. Footpaths and cycle routes including the Dartmoor Way are on the doorstep, and many popular climbing locations are nearby
The CTC recommend Sparrowhawk as the second night stop for cyclist attempting the 1000mile E2E Route. The lively village offers a few shops, pubs, good food, live music and several contemporary craft studios to visit
